POINT ROADKNIGHT: This exhibition came about to showcase a large commission for a landscape depicting the area from the house to Soapy Rocks at Point Roadknight.  Thank you to Jenny Round and John Etherington for inviting me to undertake painting,as it became the focus to bring together present and past works and interests.

Not all the paintings are from this area but most are, as I have been visiting this area for 30 years or so. About seven smaller paintings have been painted there, others were painted in the studio over a six month period. The works on paper are where I play and experiment, while the work on  canvas provide weeks of engagement.

Landscape painting to me is about the  is about the small and the panoramic, referring to memory and documentation, awaking emotions and immersing in a personally  defined discipline of painting.
